Typographic rules outlined for the 2019 Year of Chicago Theatre logotype; identifying type modifications, scaled proportions, clearspace, and a supplementary mark driving consumers to ChicagoPlays.com.
I created a distinctive typographic motif that could be recognized at a distance through bright, minimal colors and a bold, graphic forms. The look had to communicate clearly and be visually arresting to an audience spanning the city.

Seen throughout Chicago on billboards, bus stops, trash bins, street poles, and other out of home locations, this system It employs a bold and playful look to promote Chicago’s diversity in theatre offerings throughout each neighborhood.
